These terms govern your use of coreknowledge.co.za, coreknowledge.digital/exams and our online classroom, and every purchase or enrolment you make. Please read them with our Refund Policy and Privacy Policy. By ticking the acceptance box when you enrol, or by using the classroom, you agree to them.
1. Who we are (Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, s43)
- 1.1The seller and responsible party is Core Knowledge Training and Consultancy (Pty) Ltd, a private company registered in South Africa (CIPC registration 2025/415020/07), trading as CoreKnowledge.
- 1.2Registered office and physical address: 17 First Avenue, Walkerville 1961, South Africa.
- 1.3Directors: George Gitonga Mureithi and Nomthandazo Mthembu. Email: coreknowledgedigital@gmail.com. Website: coreknowledge.co.za. Our learning platform is at moodle.coreknowledge.co.bw.
- 1.4BQA accreditation no. 0019 is shown on our site for our Botswana training provision (see Quality assurance). Our online exam courses are self-study products; an ACCA or CIMA qualification is awarded only by those bodies.
- 1.5Our Information Officer is George Mureithi (see the Privacy Policy).
2. What we sell
- 2.1We sell online, self-paced courses: a Study Course (teaching content and practice), an Exam Revision Kit (exam-format practice and mocks), a Complete course (both together) and CPD courses. Each course page describes its content, the exam body or standard it prepares you for, and the main features.
- 2.2Access is to digital content only. Nothing is posted to you. Access lasts for the access period shown when you enrol or, if none is shown, for twelve (12) months from enrolment.
- 2.3You are responsible for confirming that a course suits the exam sitting, syllabus year and law that apply to you. Exam bodies change their rules and we update our content to follow, but the official publications always prevail.
3. Prices, VAT and payment
- 3.1Prices are shown in the currency stated on the course page and include VAT where applicable. We will show you the total price, and any other charge, before you pay.
- 3.2Some courses may be free, or offered on an introductory basis, while we set up online payments. The payment terms in this clause (and on our Payments page) apply once billing opens for a course. We will say so on the course page.
- 3.3Once billing opens, payment is due in full at enrolment through the secure payment methods shown at checkout. Card details are handled by our payment provider; we do not see or store them.
- 3.4We may change prices at any time. A change does not affect a course you have already paid for.
4. Delivery
- 4.1Delivery is digital and instant. After you enrol (and, once billing opens, after payment is confirmed) we create or link your classroom account and email your login details, normally within minutes.
- 4.2If you do not receive access within one hour, check your spam folder and then contact us. We will fix it or refund you.
5. Cooling-off and cancellation
- 5.1If you buy as a consumer by electronic means, section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act gives you the right to cancel within seven (7) days of receiving the goods or services, without giving a reason or paying a penalty. We honour this right.
- 5.2Our own Refund Policy is more generous than the legal minimum. Where the two differ, the one that is better for you applies.
- 5.3Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, including the right to services of good quality and to fair, reasonable and just terms.
6. Your account
- 6.1Each account is for one learner only. Please read the Acceptable Use Policy.
- 6.2Keep your login details and any sign-in links or QR codes private. You are responsible for activity under your account until you tell us it has been compromised.
- 6.3Our services are for people aged 18 or over, unless a parent or guardian consents (see Minimum age).
7. Our content and your licence
- 7.1Our materials belong to us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use them for your own study. See Copyright and Trademarks.
8. Privacy and cookies
- 8.1We process your personal information as set out in the Privacy Policy and use cookies as described in the Cookie Policy.
9. Transaction security and records
- 9.1Our website is served over an encrypted (https) connection. We keep a record of your enrolment and, once billing opens, your order, and you may ask us for a copy.
- 9.2You may review your details before you submit the enrolment form and correct any mistake by contacting us.
10. Complaints and dispute resolution
- 10.1Please raise any complaint through our Complaints Procedure. You may also approach the National Consumer Commission or the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud, and nothing prevents you from going to a court or tribunal with jurisdiction.
11. Limits on our responsibility
- 11.1We provide education only. We do not guarantee that you will pass an exam (see the Disclaimer).
- 11.2To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for interruptions caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as internet or power failure or failure of third-party services. This does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for gross negligence or intentional harm.
12. Changes to these terms
- 12.1We may update these terms. The version number and date at the top show the current version. A change applies to your use after it is published and does not reduce rights you already acquired in a course you have paid for.
13. General
- 13.1These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction, without limiting any mandatory right you have under the law of the country where you live.
- 13.2If any clause is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a clause is not a waiver of it.
- 13.3Questions about these terms: coreknowledgedigital@gmail.com.
